Fifth Third Bank announced in August job hunting tools are now among the resources available on two of the Cincinnati bank's "ebuses."
The bank already offers credit counseling and financial education on the buses, which it calls Financial Empowerment Mobiles. They now allow visitors to access proprietary job search and training software designed to help them prepare for interviews and finesse their resumes, among other things.
The job tools, provided by reemployment company NextJob, are also available to Fifth Third online banking customers.
The Cincinnati bank said the vehicles 40-foot retrofitted city buses equipped with computer workstations and internet connectivity via satellite travel to low- and moderate-income areas that have been traditionally underserved by banks.
"Offering the Job Seeker's Toolkit onboard our buses is a special access pass for people in underserved neighborhoodsfrankly, for those who may benefit most," said Camino Smith, vice president and director of Community and Economic Development, in a release.
The bank debuted its first banking bus in 2004.
