Fed Promotes ACH Payments to Canada

The Federal Reserve banks are promoting automated clearing house payments service to Canada.

On Monday the Fed announced Canada Connection, a marketing kit that banks can use to make customers more aware that they can initiate electronic payments to Canada. The kit is a joint effort between the Fed and Scotiabank, which operates the ACH gateway in Canada.

The Fed offers ACH payments to several foreign countries, including Canada and Mexico. In 2005 it launched a similar campaign, Directo a Mexico, to promote its Mexican payment service.
