Diebold (DBD) has located two new data centers in Verizon's Terremark facilities in Richardson, Texas, and Manassas, Va.
Situating its servers within the Verizon data centers will let Diebold connect to Verizon's global networks, the ATM manufacturer said Wednesday. This integration should enable Diebold to expand the disaster recovery capabilities it offers to customers. The company provides centralized monitoring of ATM networks, including endpoint security, software deployment, content management, and card transaction processing. The Canton, Ohio, company launched its first live customer of these services earlier this week.
Diebold currently has three major data centers in Ohio. During the next year, the company plans to move existing customers to the new data centers.
