International payments provider Currency Cloud has opened offices in New York, bringing the company into the U.S. market.
Currency Cloud specializes in helping companies automate and manage international payments, including real-time foreign exchange conversion, through APIs, according to the April 21 news release announcing the expansion. In total, Currency Cloud provides access to 40 currencies and 212 countries.
Based in London, the company has established a strong foothold in Europe, where its customers have processed $10 billion in international payments. Some of the company's customers include XE.com, WorldRemit and Payoneer.
