Comerica Inc. (CMA), a financial-services firm that focuses on middle-market and small businesses, named Michael W. Malone chief executive officer of its securities and insurance units.
Malone, 55, was formerly a managing director and national branch director at JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s securities division, Comerica said today in a statement. He replaces Ross Rogers, who left in January 2013, Kyle Tarrance, a Comerica spokesman, said in an e-mail.
He will be based in Dallas, where Comerica is headquartered, and report to Julia C. Wellborn, executive vice president of wealth management.
Malone's "ability to grow adviser-related businesses, his customer focus and commitment to excellence will serve Comerica and our clients well," Wellborn said in the statement.
Malone has a bachelor's degree in management from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, and a master's in management and leadership from the American College in Philadelphia, according to the statement.
