FirstBank Holding in Lakewood, Colo., will have a sole chairman after one of its co-founders announced plans to step down.
Larry Hauserman will be the lone chairman of the $16 billion-asset FirstBank after William Johnson retires, according to a Wednesday press release.
Johnson, 85, is the last surviving founder of FirstBank. He joined the board in 1963, when the company was established, and was named chairman in 1976. Johnson, who is partner at the law firm Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie in Denver, will remain on FirstBank's board.

Hauserman, 73, joined the bank in 1966 and was chief executive of the holding company from 1983 to 1992. He became board chairman in 1992.
John Ikard will remain FirstBank's chief executive.
