NEW YORK — Chase customers were unable to access their bank accounts by computer or telephone for more than three hours Wednesday afternoon due to a glitch.
The shutdown lasted from 12:50 p.m. to 4:22 p.m. EST, said JPMorgan Chase & Co. spokesman Tom Kelly.
"We're continuing to review the cause," Kelly said.
The bank's online and phone banking systems are now fully operational.
During the shutdown, Chase branches were able to process transactions but couldn't provide customers with the most recent transaction information.
