Chase Gets Highest Mobile Banking Score in Keynote Report

Chase Bank has been dubbed king of mobile banking offerings in Keynote Systems' (KEYN) fall Mobile Banking Scorecard, which was announced Monday. This is the second consecutive win for Chase.

Wells Fargo scored second place, while Bank of America was ranked third.

Other Scorecard findings gave props to several banks: BB&T was named the leader for text banking; Wells Fargo was the best in mobile web; Chase had the highest marks in iPhone and Blackberry app banking; and BofA had the best Android app.

“Banks are now moving beyond designing mobile banking offerings that are simply a subset of what consumers can already do in online banking,” said Chris Musto, general manager of Keynote customer experience delivery, in a statement. "Even in the midst of a long-term decline in paper checks, smartphone check deposit is becoming readily available and on its way to becoming pervasive. The one obvious hold-up is mobile payments, which is still largely absent from mobile banking."

The mobile and web cloud testing and monitoring company evaluated Bank of America, BB&T, Capital One, Chase, Citibank, Citizens, Fifth Third Bank, KeyBank, PNC, Regions Bank, SunTrust, TD Bank, USAA, U.S. Bank and Wells Fargo.
