Central Pacific Financial Investors to Sell Shares

Two private-equity investors have priced their offering of shares in Central Pacific Financial in Honolulu.

Affiliates of Anchorage Capital and the Carlyle Group are offering 3 million shares of common stock in the $5 billion-asset holding company for Central Pacific Bank. After the offering, Anchorage and Carlyle each will own about 8.78% of Central Pacific.

The offering is expected to close on or about June 10. Citigroup is the sole underwriter for the offering.

The two private-equity firms have been selling shares in Central Pacific since April 2014. They first agreed to invest in the company in November 2010.
