Cadence Bank to Extend Service Hours Using Video ATMs

Cadence Bank announced Thursday it plans to install video ATMs from NCR Corp. at two drive-up locations as a way to extend service hours. The cost of the video-equipped ATMs will be lower than keeping its branches open longer.

The machines, called APTRA Interactive Teller, will allow the Birmingham, Ala. bank's customers to speak with live remote tellers to do transactions like check cashing, bill and loan payments, opening new accounts and initiating loans.

Cadence Bank will offer remote teller services from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. CST, Monday through Fridays, and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST on Saturdays. The bank said it expects to install two teller systems by the fall, with more teller system installations planned by yearend.
