C1 Bank in St. Petersburg, Fla., has hired two senior executives.
Diane Bailey Morton was named the $1.6 billion-asset C1's chief human capital officer and general counsel, while Dustin Symes will head up retail lending operations.
Morton replaces C1's former head of human resources, Lynn Woods, who left the company a few months ago, a C1 spokesman said. Symes' position was newly created to enhance the lending operations inside branches.
Morton will manage all human resources functions including staff development, recruiting, retention and compensation and benefits. She was a senior labor counsel who oversaw the U.S. labor-litigation team at McAllister Olivarius in London. She previously worked as the general counsel for the Tampa Firefighters and Southwest Florida Police Benevolent Association and as an assistant state attorney.
Symes joins C1 from City National Bank in Miami. There he served as senior vice president, overseeing personal and business banking for its southern region, which includes Miami and Fort Lauderdale. At C1, Symes will oversee lending and business development across the bank's 31 branches.
