Brinker UMA Hits $500M Asset Mark

Brinker Capital Inc., a Berwyn, Pa., independent investment management company, announced that its unified managed account platform has gathered $500 million of assets under management.

The platform is now the eighth-largest in the unified managed account market by assets under management, according to a fourth-quarter report published by Cerulli Associates of Boston.

Launched in 2006, the Brinker unified managed account has a simplified account structure designed to allow advisers to offer clients asset allocation in a diversified portfolio.

Brinker's unified managed account platform incorporates managed accounts, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, and alternative investments on a single platform.

Clients receive consolidated monthly and yearend reports.

The platform had an average account size over $800,000 as of the end of last month. This compares to the average industry account size of $400,000 to $500,000 of assets, according to the Cerulli report.

Brinker, which announced the asset milestone last week, offers mutual funds, managed accounts, and unified managed accounts.

At yearend the firm had $9.7 billion of assets under management.
