Boston Private Financial Holdings has appointed a Silicon Valley executive to its board.
Kimberly Stevenson, who has also been elected to the board of the $6.9 billion-asset company's Boston Private Bank & Trust, is chief information officer at Intel. Stevenson has also held positions at HP Enterprise Services, then known as Electronic Data Systems, and IBM.
Stevenson will contribute expertise in information security, consumer applications and big data, Chairman Stephen Waters said in a Wednesday news release.
“With the financial services industry increasingly reliant on technology and capabilities around information technology, we believe Kim will bring exactly the right talent to our board,” he said.
