Associated Banc-Corp in Green Bay, Wis., has promoted a longtime executive to Milwaukee market president.
John Utz was named to the newly created position, the $27 billion-asset company said in a news release. The move reflects Utz's longstanding status as the company's most-senior business leader in the Milwaukee area, a company spokesman said.
Associated has also named Utz head of all corporate banking. Utz was previously was head of the northern region for corporate banking and specialized financial services.
Associated also promoted Paul Schmidt to deputy head of commercial real estate, a newly created position. He will report to Breck Hanson, head of CRE and the Chicago market president.
