American National Bankshares in Danville, Va., has named Cathy Liles its chief accounting officer.
Liles' appointment to the newly created position took effect Jan. 4. She will report to William Traynham, chief financial officer at the $1.5 billion-asset holding company for American National Bank & Trust.
Liles previously was CFO at the $4.9 billion-asset Carter Bank & Trust in Martinsville, Va. She has also worked at the accounting firm Dixon Hughes Goodman.
On Dec. 31, Carter Bank gave Jane Ann Davis, its chief operating officer, the additional title of CFO, according to a regulatory filing.
