The American Bankers Association released its official slate of candidates who are set to take office at the group's annual convention next month.
The lobbying group nominated Matthew H. Williams, the chairman and president of Gothenburg State Bank in Nebraska as its chairman. Williams would succeed Albert C. Kelly, the president and CEO of SpiritBank in Bristow, Okla., as the organization's chairman.
The chairman-elect is Jeff L. Plagge, the president and chief executive of Northwest Financial in Arnolds Park, Iowa. John Ikard, the president and chief executive of FirstBank Holding in Lakewood, Colo., was nominated as vice chairman, while Gary D. Hemmer, the president and chief executive of First National Bank of Waterloo in Illinois, was nominated as treasurer.
The candidates will stand for election by voice in San Diego next month.
