JPMorgan Chase’s securities services business has, in the words of Chairman and Chief Executive Jamie Dimon, “transformed itself into an industry powerhouse” in recent years and much of the credit for that goes to Teresa Heitsenrether.
Under Heitsenrether, the global head of custody and fund services, the business has scored some huge wins, including beating out State Street to be custodian for more than $1 trillion in assets from BlackRock. Since the end of 2016, assets under custody have increased 24%, to $25.4 trillion.
At No. 11, Heitsenrether is the highest-ranked newcomer to our list of the Most Powerful Women in Finance for 2019. Joining her on the list are six other new faces, including Michelle Seitz, the CEO of Russell Investments, and Katy Knox, the president at Bank of America Private Bank.
The list includes many familiar faces as well, most notably at the top. Scroll through to see the complete ranking of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Finance for 2019.
