WesCom Adds BillPayer And eVision To eBranch

WesCom Credit Union has added two new electronic services to its core eBranch Internet account access product. eBranch BillPayer, the credit union's new online bill-paying service, enables members to schedule payments up to a year in advance to payees of any type.

Using eBranch BillPayer, members can make regularly occurring payments in fixed or varying amounts, as well as one-time-only payments. Payees not equipped to receive electronic payments receive paper checks.

The credit union said that after a pilot program, eBranch BillPayer was released to its membership at large at the beginning of February, more than 2,600 members (more than 10% of all eBranch users) have begun using the service.

In April, Wescom members made more than 15,000 bill payments through eBranch BillPayer. The payments are processed by Princeton eCom.

The $1.5-billion WesCom has also introduced eVision online trading to members. eVision offers members low-cost real-time trades, free market updates, and free stock and mutual fund analysis.

Using eBranch BillPayer, eVision enrollees can transfer funds from their Wescom checking account directly into their eVision settlement account. eBranch BillPayer is free for all members who open an eVision account.

eVision is operated by CUSO Financial Services, San Diego, which is owned in part by WesCom's CUSO, WFS (Wescom Financial Services).
