SECU Adds Online Turbo Tax; Some Offered Free Service

State Employees Credit Union (SECU) has expanded its online service offerings by adding Quicken's TurboTax for the Web service through a marketing alliance with Intuit Inc. TurboTax for the Web allows taxpayers to prepare and file federal and state income tax returns online using the same features and benefits as the desktop software program. TurboTax supports more than 100 IRS tax forms, schedules and worksheets, and prepares 1040, 1040A, and 1040EZ forms. Electronic filing services are included in the cost of tax preparation. Several other features are also offered.

For members with an adjusted gross income of $25,000 or less, TurboTax for the Web can be accessed and used free of charge through Intuit's Quicken Tax Freedom Project (www.quicken.com/freedom). Members can find more info at www.ncsecu.org.
