xThe long-time chief executive of CoVantage Credit Union in Antigo, Wis., will step down in the coming months.
Brian Prunty, who joined the credit union as CEO in 1990, will retire in January, the company said in a press release Friday. Charlie Zanayed, senior vice president and chief retail officer at CoVantage, will succeed Prunty at that time. Zanayed was appointed president on Sept. 1.
During Prunty's tenure, the credit union expanded from a single office with $65 million in assets to a $1.3 billion institution with 14 offices.
"I am going to dearly miss my teammates and the members," Prunty said in the release. "I am so proud of what we have accomplished together; especially the high level of value and service we've consistently delivered,"
Founded in 1953, CoVantage serves 83,000 members and has 356 employees at its branches and offices in Wisconsin and Michigan.
