Following a mass shooting at a Boulder, Colo., grocery store that left 10 people dead, Premier Members Credit Union there has announced plans to match a minimum of $50,000 in donations to the Community Foundation Boulder County’s Boulder County Crisis Fund.
“Like many of our Colorado neighbors, we are shocked and saddened by the horrific event that occurred in Boulder on March 22,” CEO Carlos Pacheco said in a press release Friday. “Premier Members has proudly been headquartered in Boulder since 1959, and continues to be home to many of our members and employees. Through the Premier Members Boulder County Crisis Fund, we hope to help activate the healing process of our strong community.”
Members and nonmembers can make donations at PMCU branches, online at pmcu.org or by calling the credit union’s contact center. Premier Members has committed to matching donations through April 16.
Donations from the credit union will support those directly impacted by the shooting, as well as the community at large, the release said.
Premier Members Credit Union has assets of $1.2 billion and serves more than 76,000 members.
