Menominee County Federal Credit Union said it will change its name to Integra First Federal Credit Union, effective Friday.
Based in Powers on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, the credit union has about $97 million in assets.
"This new, inclusive name will better reflect our overall membership which has evolved over the years," said the credit union's CEO Paul Martin. "It was a natural progression from integrity to Integra."
Martin explained that since the addition of residents from neighboring Marinette County (in Wisconsin) several years ago into their field of membership, the former name was rendered obsolete.
