SAGINAW, Mich. – A former town official and used car lot operator is scheduled to be sentenced later this month for using his used car dealership to steal $85,000 from the sale of auto repossessions he was selling for Communications Family CU.
Henry Schumann, 52, a former member of the Bangor Township Board of Trustees and Bangor Township Planning Commission, was scheduled to be sentenced yesterday but the sentencing was pushed ahead to Oct. 28.
Schumann kept the proceeds from at least nine repos his dealership, M&H Auto Brokers, was supposed to be selling for the credit union, according to a plea deal agreed to with prosecutors.
