Discovery Federal Credit Union in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, has promoted its chief information officer, Michele Smith, to succeed
Smith assumed her new role on October 1, according to a company press release. She has been with the $177 million-asset Discovery for 22 years.
"I can retire knowing that Discovery FCU is in great hands with Michele as my successor. I am excited to see her continue to use her talents to further enhance services to our member/owners," Williams said in the press release.
Discovery, which was founded in 1959 and has more than 8,500 members, hired Hubric Resources to assist in the selection of Williams' successor.
"Our exceptionally talented and service-minded team brings their very best to work every day to make a positive impact on the lives of our members. The future is bright at Discovery FCU," Smith said in the release.
Discovery earned $306,000 in the first six months of 2022, a 21% increase compared to a year earlier, according to call report data from the National Credit Union Administration.
