MADISON, Wis. — The CUNA HR/TD Council has rebranded itself as the CUNA HR & Organizational Development Council to more closely unify the group's members and their professional backgrounds, the council said.
"We wanted to recognize the scope of activities that human resource and training professionals use to address new circumstances and challenges," Robert Davis, SVP of HR at VyStar CU and a member of the council's executive committee said in a statement. "Our name change reflects the extensive tools that credit unions utilize to acquire, serve and retain valuable employees."
The new name is also intended to confer a broader range than just "training," which was included in the old acronym.
"A changing environment means our members will be required to use different approaches and resources to keep their credit unions competitive and proactive for future growth," he said.
