County Educators Federal Credit Union in Roselle Park, N.J. has signed an agreement with EPL Inc to convert its core banking platform to EPL’s i-POWER system. The conversion is set to be complete by Oct. 1, 2019.
Patricia Curtin, information systems manager at the $107 million-asset institution, said in a statement that the new core system will provide County Educators “with the necessary flexibility we need to meet consumers’ dynamic technology needs, while also ensuring our members’ financial data is safely and securely stored.
CEO Judy Pinho added that i-POWER will provide the credit union with “a framework to adapt to long-term technological changes.”
Robin Kolvek, CEO at EPL, noted that “we, along with our board and partners at Dedagroup, are firmly committed to developing new technologies and providing unparalleled service to credit unions of all sizes.”

According to NCUA call report data, County Educators posted a loss of more than $35,000 during the first half of 2018, a start change from the first half of 2017 when it had nearly $200,000 in net income.
