PENSACOLA, Fla. – Pen Air FCU announced this afternoon the hiring of Stewart Ramsey, president of Tennessee’s Fort Campbell FCU, as president and CEO of the $1.2 billion credit union.
The hiring follows yesterday’s naming of Digital FCU’s Thomas Ryan to head Virginia’s $1.7 billion Langley FCU.
Stewart has 30 years experience in financial services, including service for a Big 4 accounting firm and the past seven years as credit union, CEO, first with Black Hawk Community CU, then the last five at Fort Campbell, which he built from $250 million in assets to $450 million.
At Pen Air Ramsey will succeed Ron Fields, who resigned in January. David Tyro, the credit union’s chief financial officer, has been serving as interim CEO since then.
Ramsey will join Pen Air in July.
