BETHEL, Conn. -- Bank security provider BranchServ said this morning it has acquired CheckView Banking Security Solutions, a division of Checkpoint Systems that provides electronic security solutions for credit unions and banks.
CheckView Banking Security Systems, currently based in Richmond, Va, offers credit unions and banks security equipment sales and service. BranchServ said an expanded portfolio of product offerings will allow it to assist its clients with the design, installation and integration of electronic security elements
The deal will add 50 employees to BranchServ's payroll of 120 employees and consolidate the companies' shared market footprint in Maryland, North and South Carolina, the District of Columbia, and Virginia, according to BranchServ, a unit of Custom Vault Corp.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
BranchServ says it serves more than 7,500 credit union and bank branches.
