Police partnership

Robins Financial Credit Union in Warner Robins, Ga. partnered with the Georgia State Patrol to collect holiday gifts in a Toys for Tots drive at its branches. Together they were able to provide approximately 250 toys and 20 bikes for kids in need.

PenFed-funded retreat debuts

The PenFed Foundation partnered with Serve Our Willing Warriors to open the PenFed Foundation Home at Warrior Retreat at Bull Run. The PenFed foundation contributed $300,000 to the effort, and the home is expected to serve more than 500 wounded service members and their families and caregivers each year. A ribbon-cutting ceremony, pictured here, was held last week.

Winning ticket

Northland Area Federal Credit Union celebrated member Dale Boudrie purchasing a winning ticket in the Michigan Credit Union League’s grand raffle. Boudrie won $1,000 in the raffle, which helps raise money for the league’s federal political action committee. Holiday raffle

Hanscom Federal Credit Union’s 2018 holiday raffle raised more than $13,000 for the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless Bed for Every Child initiative. That was a record-breaking level of volunteer and employee support from the credit union. Staff raised $6,544, which the institution matched equally. The donation is expected to provide more than 50 beds for children in need.

Teachers' wish lists granted

Vice presidents at Neighbors Federal Credit Union in Baton Rouge, La., fulfilled holiday wish lists by giving more than $7,000 in school supplies to teachers at Cristo Rey Franciscan High School, including reading materials, tables and writing supplies.
