Over 200 people raised money for the Maine Children's Cancer Program thanks to Town & Country Federal Credit Union's 25th Annual Swish-Out Childhood Cancer Challenge. The South Portland, Maine-based institution raised over $500,000 since starting the fundraisers.

Thanks to HFS Federal Credit Union in Hilo, Hawaii, students experienced a simulation that provided a glimpse of adult life. Activities included managing bills, utilities, clothing, food and other day-to-day expenses.

Raising awareness

Sperry Federal Credit Union in Garden City Park, N.Y., presented a $500 check to The Maurer Foundation in support of breast cancer awareness. The credit union will also be sponsoring the foundation's 10th annual Pink Bowl on Feb. 10.

Ice, ice baby

Canvas Credit Union dove into the snow to break ground on its first branch in Castle Rock, Colo. The institution changed its name last year from Public Service Credit Union. Though it has a new name, the credit union has served members throughout Colorado for over 80 years.

Most wonderful time of the year

Janesville, Wis.-based First Community Credit Union celebrated a successful holiday bulb drive at the beginning of the new year. Every year, a bare holiday tree is placed at one of four of its branches. Members and staff can donate to help decorate the tree. The credit union matches each dollar donated.

Honoring a hero

The Manhattan Beach, Calif.-based Kinecta Credit Union honored Martin Luther King Jr. Day through a partnership with Thomas House Family Shelter. Volunteers from the credit union worked together with the shelter to provide a homeless family a brand new home.

Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union closed off 2018 with its last Give-A-Click campaign of the year. The Lowell, Mass.-based credit union donated $1,500 to Gateways Community Services, who was the winner of the quarterly campaign.
