Citigroup Inc. has a deal to acquire Ecount Inc., a Conshohocken, Pa., processor of prepaid cards.
Ecount provides cards that are used to pay employees' wages and promotions. It processes cards for more than 1,200 companies in North America.
Citi did not give a price for the deal, but the New York company said Thursday that it expects Ecount to help it offer prepaid cards abroad.
